Typekit
Typekit.com launched yesterday. Seems like a really nice solution to the legal and technical web font hurdles.
For a modest yearly fee you get access to a big library of fonts, embedding licensing issues cleared, that you can use in a standards compliant manner, css font-face, no javascript or flash hacks. You can even mark and copy your fancy text in the browser, how about that?
The browser support includes the newest version of the usual suspects, as well as – amazingly – Internet Explorer 6 and up. Chrome is left out for now, and will render whatever fallback font you set up. Opera too, although the word is that a fix is coming from Opera soon.
Update: Typekit’s site renders fancy fonts for me in Opera 10, so not sure what’s up with that.
